Seedlings are born

Seed season is the best part of a bleak midwinter. Saturated images of summer plants and dreams of warm farming season are food for the soul.

Some were saved from chili peppers I made into hot sauce, some were bought from our favorite seed friends at Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.

Peppers love heat, and germinate best when warm and moist. Paper towels worked great to get these babies sprouted! Now they’re ready to go into the soil and under some lights so they grow big and strong by summer.
